I wasn’t just an Angel for Halloween. I’m still watching over him. I do it every time I keep my cell phone out of my hands when I am driving.

I knew that it would eventually happen. The odds are in everyone’s favor that it can happen to anyone of us.

My girlfriends Son died yesterday. He was struck by a texting driver and instantly killed. Most of us are all guilty of quick second looks on our cell phones. Even if it is just to change to hear our favorite song, or to silence a call, that we can take later. After all, it is the world that we are all living in.
And just like that, I refuse to play with my cell phone ever again. Watch me. I don’t give a fuck how urgent the call appears to be. I’m officially never going to be captivated by an Apple device, Samsung, or XM radio. I will learn to engage with whatever music is on the radio at the time that I start my vehicle. I will remember to be forever grateful that I was blessed with one more chance to breathe, to love, to live, and to remind you that today, this second is all that is promised.

Get out today and have the best Sunday ever. Be safe and remember to be cautious. I’m going to call my friend and remind her about God’s plan being bigger than what we can see. More than we can ever imagine. And then I’m going home to literally cry myself to sleep.
Tomorrow has got to be a better day.
